UK Islamic convention promotes world peace

Muslims from Sheffield have returned this week from the biggest annual Islamic convention in Britain, where they publicly affirmed their commitment to peace and their loyalty to their country.

The Union Jack was hoisted at the three-day event, in Hampshire, which saw more than 35,000 people unite to promote the message that peace, and the rejection of extremism, was a true part of their faith.Mubarak Tahir, President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim in Sheffield said: “It was inspirational for the Sheffield members to hear from our world leader promote the true teachings of Islam.”
