Ahmadiyya Muslim Mosque in Leicester Welcomes Local Leaders

 

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community (AMC) in Leicester welcomed two local leaders as part of its ongoing work to build partnerships. The Rt Rev Martyn Snow the Bishop of Leicester and Jon Ashworth, MP for Leicester South, visited the Baitul Ikram Mosque in Leicester, which was opened in 2016.

The Bishop of Leicester Rt Rev Martyn Snow, accompanied by Rev Tom Wilson, Director of the St. Philips Centre, were received at the mosque by the local Imam Zartashat and President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Leicester, Mr Ibrahim Bonsu, as well as by other members of the local community.

Jon Ashworth, MP who is also the Shadow Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, visited the mosque to learn more about its role in the wider community.

The guests were given an introduction to the charitable work undertaken by the AMC as well as the efforts of his Holiness, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the Worldwide Head of the AMC, in establishing world peace. They were also taken on tour of the mosque and its facilities.
