Doncaster Muslims Support The Great British Clean

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Association (AMA) Doncaster had the opportunity to volunteer and take part in the Great British September Clean on 19^th and 20^th Sept 2020. The event was held in Bentley Park, Doncaster and along the neighbouring streets.

The event started at 9:30am with 5 volunteers. The event was held in accordance with the Government’s Covid-19 guidelines. Volunteers wore face masks, gloves, high-vis jackets along with the litter picking equipment.

This was a successful event and local residents were happy that some young lads were spending time cleaning the streets of the local community and making it a better place.

A spokesman from the AMA stated: “We are from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association in Doncaster and are volunteers helping out. We are waiting and eager to help out and look forward to more events like this”.

Some residents were amazed as they assumed the AMA were being paid for this work.
