Slough Muslims’ Food Bank Donation For Families At Christmas

Delivering welcome food supplies

Slough’s Ahmadiyya Muslim Community donated 510 non-perishable food items to the town’s Foodbank on Monday, as part of the coronavirus local community welfare and support initiative members have run since the start of the pandemic.

The donation follows the monthly homeless feeding session by the community last week with Slough Outreach.

President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Atiq Ahmad Bhatti said: “I am truly humbled by the members of the community who have once again shown great charity by donating food items in abundance for the Slough Foodbank.

“At this time of year, wherever possible, each of us must double our efforts to ensure we look after those who may be in need of meals, food items, care and support.

“It continues to be a challenging time for us all, but through such donations we are able to continue to serve humanity and the local residents of Slough. Foodbank is a key resource for so many. May God bless each volunteer.”
