In the Words of the Caliph: Extracts from meetings and addresses in the past month

The World Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, the Fifth Khalifa (Caliph), His Holiness, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad held various virtual online meetings with audiences based in the UK and abroad. Below are selected quotes of His Holiness from these meetings.

ATTRIBUTES OF A GOOD LEADER

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:

“With regards to a political leader or the leader of your country, then they should be honest. They should feel the pain of the people, of the public… [If they are] just filling their own chest from the public money and increasing their bank balances both in the country and abroad, then they are not good leaders. A true and good leader has to be very much honest and care for his people and must be just. So, a good leader should be honest and should show absolute justice in every respect, be hardworking, sincere to the country, to the public and the nation.” (Read Here)

THE NEED FOR ABSOLUTE JUSTICE

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:

“Everywhere you see, there are atrocities, there are cruelties and brutalities that are happening – whether they are being done by the big powers to the poor nations or whether it is within nations or within the Muslim Ummah or within smaller countries. So everywhere there is chaos. We have to let the people of the world understand what are their duties (to God and towards one another). This is the duty of an Ahmadi Muslim and it is a great responsibility on our shoulders. This is why I have been constantly telling people of the world – to the politicians and leaders – that they should change themselves and try to establish true and absolute justice in the world and discharge their duties towards their Creator and their fellow beings. Otherwise, there is no guarantee of what is going to happen and what we can see is a very dark, bleak end of this world.” (Read Here)

CLIMATE CHANGE

Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:
“Allah the Almighty says that excess of everything is bad… If we are not following what the law of nature requires from us, then the ultimate result will be that we are going to ruin our future, we are going to doom ourselves and our generations.”

“…[There is pollution] because of the competition between nations, such as between China, India and America. So, every country has their own vested interest. They are not thinking about their future generations. So apart from properly planning how much fuel emission should be allowed and how can we control it – alongside it we should encourage and even enforce countries to plant more trees so the air pollution becomes less and in this way, it will help us to reduce climate change.” (Read Here)
