Charity Walk for Peace Baitul Futuh Mosque Region donates to a local cause

The Charity Walk for Peace (CWFP) was founded in 1985 by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Elders Association (AMEA) UK. CWFP aims to relieve the suffering of the poor and to promote peace, understanding, and goodwill amongst people from all walks of life. The distinctive feature of the CWFP is that all of its organisers are unpaid volunteers.

Recently, the CWFP chapter of Baitul Futuh Mosque (Merton), donated groceries to Dons Local Action Group, a charity of amazing volunteers across Merton, Wandsworth & Kingston, helping those in need and fighting poverty in the local community.

Dr Tayyab Mansoor, President of the CWFP Baitul Futuh Mosque Region said:

“A companion of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked him, “Messenger of Allah, which aspect of Islam is best?” He replied, “Feeding people and greeting those you know and those you do not know.” So, it is a fundamental part of Islam to contribute towards these charitable causes in our society and it is indeed a great honour for our volunteers to take part in these initiatives.”

To date, CWFP has raised more than £5.2 million and distributed the funds to over 500 UK registered charities. Details of CWFP can be found on its website: https://charitywalkforpeace.org/.
