Visit of Moderator of the General Assembly of Church of Scotland to Glasgow Mosque

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Scotland welcomed the Rt Hon Lord Wallace of Tankerness QC, Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland and Rev Dr George Whyte, Principal Clerk of the General Assembly, at its Regional headquarters, the Baitur Rahman mosque in Glasgow on 2nd March. The visit was part of the Community’s ongoing work, in working with other faith groups across Scotland to build a cohesive interfaith community.

The two guests were received by the Regional President, Mr. Muhammad Ahsan Ahmad and Regional Missionary Imam Dawood Qureshi. A quick tour of the mosque was given, followed by an introduction to the charitable work undertaken by the Community as well as the efforts of his Holiness, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the Worldwide Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, in establishing world peace.

This visit followed an earlier visit by a delegation of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Scotland to the Moderator’s official residence last year in November.
