Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association to clean Bradford streets

BRADFORD community group is gearing up for its annual New Year’s Day street cleaning event. The Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association (AMYA) will be waking up early for pre-dawn prayers tomorrow before joining hands to participate in a mass clean across the region. As part of their ongoing dedication to fostering community spirit and promoting cleanliness, many enthusiastic volunteers will gather armed with litter pickers and bin bags.

The initiative not only embodies the values of service ingrained in the Islamic faith, but also signifies a commitment to creating a cleaner, more vibrant community for all. Adnan Virk, Regional President for AMYA North-East UK, said: “New Year’s Day presents a wonderful opportunity for us to start the year on a positive note by giving back to the local communities that we cherish.

“Our street cleaning efforts aim not only to beautify the surroundings but also to inspire others to take pride in their communities.” The association extends an open invitation to all members of the community, irrespective of background, to join in this collective effort to maintain cleaner streets and a healthier environment for everyone.
