Jalsa Salana UK 2019 dates as 35,000 Muslims prepare for UK’s biggest Islamic convention

Around 2,500 Muslims from Birmingham and Midlands will be among those travelling to three-day eventMore than 2,500 Muslims from Birmingham, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Halesowen, Coventry and other locations across the Midlands will be taking part in the UK’s largest Islamic conference, Jalsa Salana.

And these are the dates of Jalsa Salana UK for 2019.

The worshippers will travel to Hampshire from Friday, August 2 to Sunday, August 4 where they will be among more than 35,000 other Muslims from over 110 countries aiming to show ‘the true face of Islam.’

The three-day international gathering “aims to dispel misconceptions around Islam at a time of increasing intolerance towards the religion and global political instability.”

The event is organised by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.

Imtiaz Ahmad Syed, the Midlands president of the Community, said: “The Jalsa Salana is one of the greatest displays of global unity, with delegates attending from more than 100 countries representing diverse backgrounds.

“The event also highlights Islam’s teachings of loyalty as the Caliph of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, raises the flag of the Ahmadiyya Muslims Community along side the Union Jack. This displays not only our loyalty to our faith, but also loyalty to our nation.”
