The Ahmadiyya Community Holds its Annual Peace Symposium in London
Towards the end of March, an annual Peace Conference is held by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in South London. People of diverse faiths and no particular faith are invited to attend.
The subject of peace in our modern world is always relevant. From the concern forpeace in far away lands, to peace in our communities, homes and our innner self. The subject of ‘Peace’ is commented on by guest dignitaries – including the The Khalifa & Head of the global Ahmadiyya Muslim Community – Hazrat Mirza Masoor Ahmad.
While this event sets out to bring together people who see peace as a priority in our times, it reflects aims to enlighten society about the Peace from the viewpoint of Islamic teaching, taking a step forward to building a far better understanding of faiths , – and in particular Islam – where the public perception of Peace & Islam – still seems poles apart.
