National president of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth, Waqas Ahmed, said the event included speeches and talks on a range of topics including the role of youth, role of government officials, religious leaders and imams, parents and teachers on raising Muslim youth in this day and age.”There is a great need to start the conversation about the role of youth in nation building, training and education of children, de-radicalisation and social integration and various challenges being faced by Muslim youth,” he said.

“The symposium was a great night, including speakers and attendees from various spheres of society; including politicians, academics, faith and civil leaders as well as representatives from numerous charities and faith communities.”We hope this is the first but not the last talk of its kind.”
