AHMADI MUSLIMS REMEMBER THE HOLOCAUST
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Association UK calls for peace and understanding as the world prepares to remember the Holocaust, in which millions of Jews and many minority groups were persecuted and killed at the hands of the Nazis during the Second World War.

Fighting and bloodshed are still evident in many parts of the world, where people are persecuted for their ethnicity and beliefs. Recent world events have shown how many countries do not enjoy stability and harmony between different groups and how such tensions can erupt into violence.

Mr Rafiq Hayat, National President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association UK, said the world must learn from the lessons of the past.

“Ahmadi Muslims in all parts of the world are praying that people can learn to recognise and accept their differences. People of all races and faiths are equal in the eyes of God, and only when everyone accepts this truth can the world look forward to a peaceful future,” he said.

“The Holocaust demonstrated what man is capable of doing when he allows evil to dictate his actions. Only by staying close to God, and following His teachings of peace can man avoid repeating the mistakes of the past, and achieve a better world for everyone.”
